This project provides emergency standby power for the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) Facility on Fields Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. This facility provides compressed natural gas refueling for the COTA buses. The 2000kW generator backs up the natural gas compressors for buses that run on natural gas and the charging systems for electric buses. The 1000kW backs up other loads that are legally required to have standby power. Each generator required two trucks: one for the generator and one for the subbase fuel tank. Coordinating the deliveries of this equipment required good communication to meet the customer’s expectations.
